Famed DJ Joins Fight Against AIDS

Famed dj Tiesto has released a new and exclusive compilation, Dance (Red), Save Lives, in efforts to bring about awareness within the Dance community in the fight against AIDS.  The new release, in collaboration with U2's Bono, also features popular djs Calvin Harris, Avicii, and Diplo.  Tiesto shares, "When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devastating effect of AIDS. Hip Hop Legend Aims For Diabetes Awareness

Hip-hop legend  Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons has joined global health care giant Novo Nordisk, as ambassador, in the implementation of the new “Ask.Screen.Know” educational program in “encouraging people to learn their risk for diabetes and highlight the need for early diabetes detection.”  Simmons shares, "Watching my dad manage his diabetes, I know firsthand the impact that the disease can have ...Your health is worth the time. That's why I joined the Ask.Screen.Know. campaign. I'm looking at my own risk of diabetes and holding myself accountable for my health. Singer To Perform For Fight Against Cystic Fibrosis

Singer Celine Dion will give a performance, of benefit to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013.  Funds raised will support research for the fight against the genetic disease. Country Music Singer Combats Child Hunger

Country Music star Kellie Pickler has joined The ConAgra Foods Foundation, and Feeding America, as a national spokesman for the "Hunger-Free Summer" effort. The new program combating child hunger aims to provide children with healthy meal choices during the summer. Fans can join the cause by downloading "The Hunger Avengers" activity booklet sharing many ways in which to help support and educate by sharing knowledge about child hunger.
