Natalie Merchant will perform a benefit concert, “against gas shale hydrofracking” on March 10, 2012, at The Forum Theatre in Binghamton N.Y.
Merchant adds, "
Hydrofracking poses the greatest threat to clean drinking water in New York and Pennsylvania right now. Our opposition to this threat is imperative. I hope people can come to the concert to show their concern." Tix are $32, and the performance time is 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by Finger Lakes Clean Waters Initiative, and funds will benefit "continued awareness and education in the fight against shale gas hydrofracking."
