Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Help The Homeless

Country Music's famed music couple, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, recently joined Rosalynn Carter for the 28th Annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project in partnership with Habitat for Humanity's efforts in helping those affected by the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti leaving half a million plus without homes.

Nickelback Launches Campaign For Education

Rock band Nickelback will donate through their 'Nickelback Gives a Quarter Back' campaign a quarter to United Way Worldwide, for every person that takes a United Way pledge to become a volunteer reader, tutor, or mentor between now and December 31rst of 2011, in efforts to promote education. Bret Michaels Contributes To Institution

Musician Bret Michaels has donated, the Michael's Hospitality and Music Room, to the St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. Michaels entered the facility, as a “subarachnoid hemorrhage" patient in 2010, which played a tremendous role in the singer's recovery. Music Empowers Foundation Begins New Fund Initiative

The Music Empowers Foundation, the national not-for-profit that provides grants to fund innovative music education programs for kids, currently has a fund raising initiative to raise money for continued music efforts. Avril Lavigne's Rock Star Club

The Avril Lavigne Foundation and Easter Seals have granted four selected affiliates, with the Avril Lavigne Rockstar Club (Respect, Opportunity, Choices, Knowledge, and Strength) at Easter Seals grant, for the purpose of "support recreational programming for children and youth with disabilities, their families, and communities." The Easter Seals Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana in Ohio, Easter Seals Capper Foundation in Kansas, Easter Seals Massachusetts, and Easter Seals Southern California have been chosen.
